Dr. Kristen Douglas is a proven academic leader, relationship builder and practiced professional. She is highly skilled at employing data for strategic action to shape the future of higher education. Dr. Douglas currently serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness at Athens Technical College. Dr. Douglas has been instrumental in connecting technical programs with strategic industry partners. In addition, she is passionate about student success, and believes the essential core of any college are the people and relationships that define its culture.

Dr. Douglas holds a Doctor of Education, Master of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia. Dr. Douglas has served as SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison and Peer Evaluator, Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, and in numerous other roles supporting her community and her passion for education.
