Lisa Johnson is Senior Director of FHI 360's Institute for Work and Learning (IWL) and a nationally recognized leader in workforce development, education, and employer engagement. With more than 25 years of experience, she has designed and led initiatives that strengthen career pathways, expand work-based learning opportunities, and connect education systems with industry needs.

Throughout her career, Lisa has built partnerships among employers, community colleges, school systems, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to help learners access high-quality training and employment opportunities. She has secured and managed major public and private investments in workforce innovation and has led programs serving thousands of young people and adults across the United States and internationally.

As a judge for Caterpillar's Building the Future Workforce Challenge, Lisa brings deep expertise in workforce systems, credentialing, apprenticeships, and industry-aligned training to evaluate bold, technology-forward solutions that strengthen the advanced manufacturing and technician workforce of the future.
